Roman Kykta
Sculptor
Born in Drohobych, currently living and working in Lviv.
For me, sculpture is a way to perceive and express the beauty of the world through visual art. I think in forms and speak the language of diverse materials, combining them in search of unconventional artistic solutions.
I create sculptures of various scales — from small miniatures to large monumental projects. I also have experience in sculpture restoration and reconstruction.

Artist Statement
Associative sculpture awakens archaic forms of thinking, actualizes archetypes of the unified field of world culture. Accordingly, reflection is a stable sign of co-creation. The artist creates primarily because he feels the presence of beauty in the world. And the recipient, contemplating the artistic work, confirms the relevance of this presence. Associations that arise during mutual communication create history and develop aesthetic feelings, enrich cultural experience, and expand worldviews.
Art teaches to see beauty within oneself. The feeling of the divine principle is inseparably linked to the creative act, as it is a touch to the inner "self" - that deep level of consciousness that is awakened through the synergy of the individual and the Higher. Moreover, art elevates the individual to a completely different level of self-awareness in the global sense of one's purpose. Thus, creativity becomes the key to awakening. Both for the one who creates and for the one who contemplates.
